Melbourne design studio Coco Flip’s playful Puku ottoman takes it’s name from the Maori word for ‘chubby belly’, and the rotund design is inspired by the Japanese cartoon characters such as Totoro. Made in Melbourne, Puku is upholstered in the finest Kvadrat fabrics from Denmark. Choose from a range of vibrant colours for the top, and a selection of mottled greys for the bottom.
Cute and full of personality, Puku is like a little cartoon character you can sit on. Although inspired by time spent in Japan, Puku takes its name from a traditional Māori word. It means ‘chubby belly’. Popular for living rooms, break out areas, galleries and nurseries, Puku will happily rest on your floor like a sleepy animal in hibernation.
Coco Flip is a Melbourne based furniture & lighting design studio, established in 2010 by designer Kate Stokes. Taking its philosophy from the Swedish word ‘lagom’, translating roughly to ‘not too much, and not too little’, Coco Flip works closely with local craftsmen & manufacturers to create products and experiences that provoke thought and conversation, engaging the public and encouraging an escape from the every day.
